DECEMBER 3, 2021 - MT. STERLING, KY - Jennifer Hager, experienced Licensed Practical Nurse and School-Based Health Program Coordinator for Sterling Health Care (SHC) since 2018, has been selected as Clinical Manager for the local Federally Qualified Health Center. The native of Mount Sterling, who earned her LPN licensure in 1997, says she is excited to continue following her dreams of providing quality healthcare in her hometown.
“I am excited to bring my nursing experience and skills to further our mission,” she said. “I look forward to working with our providers and nursing staff to promote a team-based care atmosphere to better serve our patients.”
Hager’s primary responsibilities will be to collaborate with medical providers and nursing staff to maintain the quality and adequacy of nursing-related practices. She also will provide orientation, training and skills check-offs with all new clinical staff, as well as ongoing education and skills assessments with existing staff. Oversight of infection control and the employee health program, including trainings and monitoring compliance, are on the list as well.
Tina Bryant, SHC Chief Executive Officer, says the timing is right for this transition as Hager’s experience with the organization since 2017 will be crucial for SHC going forward.
“Jenni has been a wonderful asset to Sterling Health Care, beginning as a nurse at the main site and then transitioning to school-based health. She was instrumental in advancing the school-based health program from two to four schools. Now, moving into the role of Clinical Manager, her skills as a nurse and her gift of teaching will benefit this new position as the company continues to grow.”
In her spare time, Hager says she will continue to enjoy spending time with her husband and two daughters on their farm.
