Sterling Health Care Breaks Ground For New Facilities

OCTOBER 12, 2021 - MT. STERLING, KY - Sterling Health Care unveiled plans for two new facilities on Tuesday afternoon during a pair of groundbreaking ceremonies in Mt. Sterling and Carlisle. The company announced its plans to build a 20,000 square foot facility in Mt. Sterling to combine three current sites and their services into one location, while Carlisle will be home to a new 9,400 square foot facility.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear addressed the large crowd of elected officials, healthcare workers and community leaders in Mt. Sterling and spoke about the organization’s investment in the area.

“Health care is a basic human right and making quality care available to all Kentuckians is a core value of my administration,” said Beshear. “Sterling Health Care has been a great Team Kentucky partner as we have worked to manage the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic and these two new facilities – in Mt. Sterling and Carlisle – will serve even more Kentucky families. When we invest in greater health care access, we are investing in our future and building a better Kentucky. Congratulations to Sterling Health Care on this important milestone.”

Other speakers at the Mt. Sterling event included State Representative David Hale (74th District) and Mt. Sterling Mayor Al Botts, who expressed his appreciation for what Sterling Health Care has meant to the community since opening its doors in 2012. He specifically listed a number of services provided by the organization including primary care, dental, women’s care, behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, community health workers, insurance enrollment assistance, and transportation which he emphasized was critical to receiving care.

Representatives from the offices of Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressman Andy Barr were in attendance at the ceremony held directly behind the current Sterling Women’s Care and Montgomery Dental Center at 635 Maysville Road, while a proclamation from Senator Ralph Alvarado (District 28) was shared during the ceremony.

Following the official turning of dirt, a brief hiatus was taken before the second groundbreaking was held in close proximity to Carlisle’s current location at 2330 Concrete Road.

“Sterling Health Care is so appreciative of the support we receive from our local, state and federal leadership,” said Tina Bryant, Sterling Health Care Chief Executive Officer. “They have been instrumental in our growth and service over the years and we look forward to continuing those relationships for the betterment of all of the communities we serve.

“These new facilities will allow our talented and caring medical professionals to provide even greater services for our patients,” she added. “We strive to take down barriers that may prevent someone from receiving quality care and we believe these facilities will help us continue towards that goal.”

Construction on both facilities is expected to begin within the next few weeks. Information about the construction progress and all services provided by Sterling Health Care can be found on their website at www.sterlinghealthky.org.
