October 4, 2024 - Through a partnership with the American Red Cross, Sterling Health Care (SHC) was able to hold the first SHC blood drive in the history of the organization. The drive saw 51 out of 57 appointment slots filled and 36 successful pints collected. This event was the first of a revolving schedule of SHC blood drives with the next scheduled to take place on Friday, Feb. 21.
“I would like to extend a huge thanks to all who attempted to donate,” said Jennifer Hager, SHC Clinical Manager. “Blood cannot be manufactured. It can only come from donors. We must help each other to maintain a steady supply.”
Donors also receive several benefits, including a health check prior to donation which may detect other potential health issues. The process also reduces iron levels in their blood, which may lower risk of heart disease.
Sterling Health Care’s mission is to improve the lives for all people in the communities we serve, through improved health, regardless of their ability to pay.
Sterling Health Care has been an organization exhibiting growth and leadership in Mount Sterling and surrounding communities since 2012. Our providers and staff take pride in being the friends, neighbors and leaders in these communities who strive to make a positive difference.
The care we provide enriches the lives of our patients and improves their well-being.
