SHC continues tradition of athletic donations to School-Based Health partners

August 21, 2026 - As part of a continued effort to help local students enjoy school athletic competitions, Sterling Health Care (SHC) committed $11,500 to four area school districts participating in the organization's School-Based Health program.

These donations aim to assist school systems in covering the cost of student admission to athletic events at the school, allowing students to enjoy time with friends without facing financial concerns.

“Through these donations, Sterling Health Care is able to make a difference in the lives of students both inside and outside of the classroom,” said Tina Bryant, SHC Chief Executive Officer. “While Sterling Health Care staff can treat their medical needs throughout the day, this assistance boost affords all students the opportunity to experience memories outside the classroom they might not otherwise be able to because of a financial barrier. This also allows the organization to make a significant impact for our school-based health partners.”

Four districts - Montgomery, Bourbon, Nicholas, and Powell - were the recipients of this year's donations, which marks the sixth year SHC has provided them.
