SHC becomes primary sponsor for three local events

July 21, 2026 - Through a partnership with the Mount Sterling-Montgomery Co. Parks and Recreation program, Sterling Health Care (SHC) will be the primary sponsor of three upcoming health events that match SHC's mission. In addition to sponsorship of the Gateway 250 Small Town America 5K, SHC is also sponsoring the Propellers to Pavement 5K in October, as well as the MSMC Parks and Recreation Triathlon later this year.

SHC is proud to work with the department and provide sponsorship to the Propellers to Pavement 5K, scheduled on Saturday, Oct. 17, as part of the Court Days festival in Mount Sterling. The event will be very similar to last year's 5K event organized by the Leadership of Montgomery County group, and will once again be held at the Mount Sterling - Montgomery County Airport, located at 709 Airport Road in Mount Sterling. More details on this event, as well as the triathlon, will be provided as the event dates get closer.

Jeff Pinkerton, SHC Marketing and Communications Director, is pictured below, presenting a commemorative check to Phil Gross, Executive Director for the Parks and Recreation program, for each event.
