July 7, 2026 - A Sterling Health Care (SHC) recently responded to a series of requests from area communities, providing needed resources to organizations which themselves will deliver impactful service both now and in the future.
“This group of donations holds special meaning to Sterling Health Care for a couple of reasons,” said Tina Bryant, SHC Chief Executive Officer. “First, each group of recipients builds what they do around a mission of service, which we sincerely appreciate. Secondly, we have employees – members or our family here – that have a personal interest in the success of these organizations. They know first-hand the challenges these groups face and it means that much more to know their successes are our successes.”
SHC was proud to serve as a silver sponsor of the First Responders Academy held June 22 as a joint partnership between the Maysville Community & Technical College (MCTC) Workforce Solutions department and the MCTC Criminal Justice department. The academy is a summer program hosted by MCTC for youth ages 12-18 years old and focuses on introducing students to career opportunities and educational pathways in First Responder-related fields such as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), fire, police, search and rescue, etc.
Providing meals and activities for attendees at this year’s Special Needs Camp of Kentucky was the purpose of resources allotted to this Owingsville organization. Support specifically requested by an SHC employee will assist the camp which takes place in early July.
Emotional regulation is the focus for this two-week series of day camps held for children ages 4 through 9. SHC’s donation helped provide scholarships for five children to attend and help with general expenses associated with running the two sessions, held the weeks of June 15-19 and June 22-26. SHC pediatrician Dr. Brian Badger was instrumental in the coordinated effort with NewSong Counseling Center to arrange the support.
SHC is proud to assist in fundraising efforts for yet another history-making local team, as Bath County’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) team recently earned the opportunity to qualify for the upcoming national competition in Utah. In only its second year of existence, the program excelled at the state competition and is headed to Utah to display their talents among the nation’s best.
Joining with many other businesses across the area, SHC once again supports the efforts of Kiwanis of Mt. Sterling with a donation towards group’s largest fundraising event of the year. The Kiwanis mission mirrors that of SHC… Dedicated to providing impactful service to the children, youth, seniors, and underserved in the community of Montgomery County.
