June 18, 2026 - Sterling Health Care (SHC) has received six honors in the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards, including two Awards of Excellence and four Awards of Distinction, recognizing the organization's continued commitment to effective marketing, communications and patient engagement.
The Communicator Awards is one of the largest and most competitive programs honoring excellence, effectiveness and innovation in communications, receiving more than 3,000 entries from organizations, agencies and companies around the world. Entries are evaluated by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body of more than 1,100 industry leaders representing organizations such as JPMorgan Chase & Co., FedEx, Netflix, National Geographic Society and many others.

The team also received Awards of Distinction for work on development of their new employee clothing catalog (Photography, Overall Design, and Print Content) and their company’s internal newsletter. The team is comprised of Jeff Pinkerton, Marketing and Communications Director; Alyssa Allen, Marketing Specialist; Josh Wicker, Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist; and Shelia Logan, Executive Assistant.

In addition to the Communicator Awards recognition, SHC was named a 2025 finalist in the Ragan PR Daily Awards for Media Relations to contribute to the team’s total of 14 awards since 2021. Pinkerton recently accepted an invitation to serve as an AIVA juror beginning later this year, judging global entries for the Communicator Awards, W3 Awards and Davey Awards in the marketing and communications industries.
