May 18, 2025 - Staff members from Sterling Health Care (SHC) were a force to be reckoned with during this year’s Bowl For Kid’s Sake. SHC brought seven teams to the event, held by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass (BBBS) organization. At the event’s conclusion, BBBS Executive Director Meredith Downey Watts announced that the event had helped the organization exceed this year’s goal of $8,500 by raising more than $13,000 so far. SHC has been a long-time supporter of BBBS, sponsoring this event for several years in a row.
Five-Oh-Eight, creatively named for the extension number of the SHC Information Technology department, was the team champion in the friendly, inter-company competition with a winning average of 108 for the first game. Celebrating the victory and just having a good time in general were, from left, Michael Denkins, Peyton Thomas, and Ryan Huynh. Congratulations to this year’s champs, who will have their photograph placed on the traveling trophy that rests in the Administration building for all to see upon entering.
In the second photo from left, Aleisha Poole turns around to congratulatory high fives after bowling a strike for the Sterling Storm Troopers. Darth Brandy, so named on the official scorecard for Stanton, is pictured at far right, displaying the power of her mind control and appearing to levitate the bowling ball at her bidding while unleashing her attempt at the pins.
