  • Behavioral health meeting strengthens provider teamwork

    Always striving to provide patients with the best care possible, the Behavioral Health team at Sterling Health Care recently used scheduled provider meetings to develop skills, teamwork and understanding in a number of different areas. The meetings are scheduled by company leadership to allow SHC providers dedicated time to get together and address items affecting their departmental operations and achievement of goals for quality, affordable care.

  • SHC provides gift baskets for BBBS event

    With plans for heavy employee involvement at the Montgomery Co. Community Bowl, Sterling Health Care (SHC) provided additional support to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass (BBBS) through a donation of gift baskets for the event.   • SHC booth sees success at Mushroom Festival

    Members of Sterling Health Care’s (SHC) clinical staff provided over 30 health checks to attendees of the Mountain Mushroom Festival in Irvine on April 27. SHC offered several types of health checks at the festival, including A1C checks and blood pressure checks. Those who visited SHC’s booth also received the chance to win a $50 gift card to Shoe Sensation. SHC’s Jennifer Fitzpatrick, Brenda Johnson, Crystal Watkins, Josh Knox, and Brandy Phillips attended the event.

  • SHC attends trade fair

    Members of Sterling Health Care’s (SHC) Stanton clinic team made an appearance at the Powell County High School Trade Fair last Friday. SHC’s Laura Rogers, pharmacist, and Brenda Johnson, receptionist, met with local students in the high school gym to discuss career options and the services that SHC provides. Rogers can be seen above interacting with a group of students at SHC’s booth.

  • SHC sponsors Carlisle Chamber dinner

    Sterling Health Care (SHC) was a proud sponsor of the Carlisle/Nicholas County Chamber Meeting on March 26. Members of the Chamber met at Garrett’s on Broadway for a delicious meal and a chance to discuss a variety of topics, including the community’s growth and SHC’s involvement in several upcoming activities throughout the area. Donna Raper, Chief Administrative Officer, joined Maggie Howard, SHC-Carlisle Practice Manager, and Josh Wicker, Media Specialist, in representing SHC at the Chamber dinner.

  • SHC Attends Health Opportunities Workshop

    Sterling Health Care’s (SHC) Jennifer Carpenter, Human Resources Manager, and Michelle Lesieur, Administrative Assistant, joined a variety of organizations in attendance at the Health Opportunities Workshop on March 22, hosted by the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center. Through this event, local high school and college students gained hands-on experience and knowledge about the wide array of medical programs and careers that are available to them in the healthcare field. The two met with students to discuss career opportunities in healthcare and the services that SHC offers. Those who visited the booth also received the opportunity to join a raffle for an SHC gift basket.
